Flash's Studio got it's name in 1932 from Mr. Forrest Flashman. Mr. Flashman purchased Lewis Studio and renamed it, Flash's. Flashman only stayed in Red Lodge for five years, mostly selling hand made black and white scenic postcards of the Beartooth Highway. When Kathrine Psenda returned to Red Lodge, after assisting Nellie Stockbridge at Nellie's studio in Wallace Idaho, Flashman made Katie an offer that she could not refuse. Kathrine Psenda purchased the studio in 1938. After all, she had started her photographic career in 1922 for Lewis Studio at the age of 16. |

An outstanding photographer, Thomas L. Egenes was born and raised in Red Lodge Montana. The son of Bernt and Kathrine Psenda Egenes, Mr. Egenes was first exposed to photography in his father's darkroom. "When I was a young boy, I sometimes helped Mom & Dad by making black & white photographs in the darkroom or oil tinting sepia toned portraits". Mr. Egenes began his career in professional photography by attending the Brooks Institute of Photography West Coast School in Santa Barbara, California. In 1978 he took over the operation of his parent's studio in Red Lodge, Montana. Some of his more recent credits include photographs for Family Circle, Readers Digest, Playboy, Republic Pictures, TNN (The Nashville Network), and National Geographic Traveler. Mr. Egenes is a member of The Professional Photographers of America, The Professional Photographers of Montana, Photo Marketing Association and Digital Imaging Association. He also holds a Certification degree from the Professional Photographers of America. Tom is one of the premier portrait and commercial photographers in Montana. Mr. Egenes lives in Red Lodge with his wife, Sherry, and his two daughters, Rachel and Krista. Mr. and Mrs. Egenes own and operate Flash's Photography at 21 South Broadway, Red Lodge Montana.
